Scott & Carolyn Gipson of Alvarado, Texas have been breeders of high performance Arabian horses since 1971. In the early 70's, Carolyn's father, the retired Arabian Racing Association of California Hall of Fame Trainer Chuck Tolbert, began the family legacy of breeding extraordinary performance horses by using the *Witez II son, WITRAFF (photo below on left), BASK-O-ZEL (photo below on right), the 1980 National Champion Racehorse, and the famous mare, FAGAI, International Arabian Horse Association Horse of the Year and Filly of the Year (the first mare ever to be so honored). Photo in the center is Samba, by Witraff, working cattle.

Expanding on the family's early successes, with the extensive knowledge and insight of Carolyn's expertise in Arabian performance genetics, they have focused on mares, that embody extreme athleticism within their blood, and that have multiple stakes and race winners within their tail female lines. A very important member of the breeding program has been the 28 year old *Orzel son, MAGUS (photo below, left), who was acquired in 1991.

Magus is the result of a classic outcross in breeding terms. Even though his book was limited to only 3 mares each of his first two years at stud he is on the Top 20 List of Producing Race Sires in the US today. The combined record of all Magus’ get as of December 15, 1997 is 164 races, 28 Wins, 22 Seconds, 25 Thirds and 18 Stakes Wins or Placings. Those horses begin with the multiple stakes winner & two time Darley nominee AMAZING SON, (pictured above, right) multiple winner and stakes winner Benediction Col, the stakes placed filly and winner Mercy Mercy, stakes placed colt and winner Swing King and My Man Gus and winners, Amaysing Grace, Sweet Talker, Cardsharp, Orly and the stakes winning grandson, d'Este Gotcha

We are now taking a new turn into the future to add longevity to our breeding goals, and also to expand our horizons in marketing. A few years ago, we began a breeding program to produce World Class athletic individuals that are Palominos and Buckskins, while combining the beauty, intelligence and durability of the Arabian with the size, quietness and ability of  Hollywood White, who is a Perlino Quarter Horse. With this combination we are producing double registered horses with the beauty of the Palomino and Buckskin that will be appropriate for show, pleasure or reining companions.  We have foals of his in homes across the country.
